The secret life of a teenager (often abbreviated Secret Life) is a television series created by Brenda Hampton. First broadcast on ABC Family July 1, 2008. The show was made for a second season of 24 episodes, February 9, 2009, June 22, 2009 began broadcasting renewed. On January 12, 2010, ABC Family has announced that Secret Life returns for its third season was created on 7 June 2010. The first season focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how teen pregnancy unexpectedly character Amy Juergens, who is represented by Shailene Woodley. In the second season, the faces of Amy Juergens juggling motherhood and school, while his family and his friends face the challenges of their own relationship. The series received generally negative reviews from critics when it began broadcasting regular, but was also received by the audience of women and girls. 

The pilot broke the record for highest rated debut on ABC Family, which was suspended from the first second, beat Kyle XY, with 2,820,000 viewers. The final season has been one of 4,500,000 viewers, surpassing last night's episode of Gossip Girl, which was less than half its usual number of spectators. Preview of the most positive reviews from critics and well received by viewers, the second season of The Secret Life opens with the biggest audience the series has seen so far, posting a series high with 4.68 million viewers a general audience of adults 18 to 34, the number one original script to create the summer of 2009. Also, the first half of the season's most watched ABC Family has with viewers aged 12 to 34 of three million viewers. The show won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Show in his first season, and gave birth to a book entitled The Secret Diary of Ashley Juergens. Currently airs Monday at 8/7c on ABC Family in the U.S. and Canada, MuchMusic.
